Six Sentence Sunday 9/30/12 #SixSunday #WIP #POSSESS

Happy Sunday, all! It's almost OCTOBER! YAY!

For this Six Sentence Sunday installment, I've decided on a sneak peek from the prologue of one of my [many] WIP's.
POSSESS is a  suspenseful New Adult mystery that takes place in my most favorite place on earth: beautiful, enchanting New Orleans.

Enjoy!

She had to will her legs to move toward him. She was determined not to listen to the primal, animalistic urge inside of her that demanded her to turn around and flee. She had to overcome the paralyzing fear that held her feet in place, cemented to the ground.

He was the reason.

He held the answer.

She had no choice but to move forward, though the cost may be more than the reward.

  1. I'd like to see you switch the first and third sentences. The first sentence gives the impression that she is starting forward, through a great expansion of effort, and the 3rd sentence reverses that impression. Otherwise, this is great writing.

  2. Tantalizing! Can't wait to see / read more!
